The 10 Beer 100 Chuar Challenge!
Yes, that's right! You TOO can join the growing list of 10 beer, 100 chuar challenge winners! If you've accomplished this stunningly amazing feat of fortitude & endurance, let Jay or I know (and have witnesses! No cheating, boozer!) and we'll add you to the list!
10 Beer 100 Chuar Challenge Winners 
charlie_sierra did the challenge this August adding his name to the illustrious Challenge Winners list!
Matthew O': both at Wei Weis & in Xi'an
Jason H: and didn't even get sick!
Alex L: will probably do it again
Chris(toufa) has probably risen to the Challenge NUMEROUS times by now!
Pat M: okay, he did it in Xi'an, but I'll count him here because I know him
Runners up: (those not quite up to the Challenge yet  )
Brad O - had to be demoted after he fessed up that he only came close.
charlie_sierra - 144 Chuar! +6 beers
skyline5k - well over a dozen beers on dozens of occasions.
Jay - well over a dozen beers & a ton of yangrou to boot.
(Last names private unless winners don't care, otherwise screen name or last initial used.)
Stop over to Wei Wei's, the most respected name in Bad Language, on Wednesday nights for some good chuar, beer & whatever else they throw our way!

EVERY Wednesday! 8PM is a round-about figure. Some people teaching may not get there till later. We'll see what the overall reaction is. |

Perhaps someone can provide Chinese directions to give to the taxi. I always got there by telling them to go to Gan Shi Qiao then screaming "TURN HERE!" before getting there.
It scared them a little, but I always seem to get there. |

Problem with the picture? It looks like all the beers are almost empty. Must be the top notch Wei Wei's service he's so famous for. Genova, I'll plan on going for the next couple weeks. I'll wear my trademark "used to be white" cap. |

It was a good time. Only four people came, but since we didn't even decide to do it until the day before, I can't complain. It's nice to get out mid-week after the Wednesday hump and relax. As always, the beer was cold and the meat-stick was great. Your directions on how to get there were fine, thanks for posting them. |

Depends on what's on their tv. Not sure if I've ever heard music there. More of a chat/hang out/play cards/whatever sort of place. |

yeah, when i remembered it today, i remember muttering "sha" to wei wei about them and he responded by saying "sha bi" Well thats my recollection of that event, it may be a little different from what actually happened but all ended well
it took me along time to remember what that actually meant. haha.
maybe thats what they heard but those guys were just looking for trouble anyway. |

Foreigners should try to stay clear of getting into locals' business. Locals, especially in Xi'an, will look at it VERY nationalistic. Sounds bad, and I wasn't there for it so I don't know the story, but better safe than a sword through the backside (the sword is from experience.) |
